Albania: Full integration into Euro-Atlantic structures

Albania is clear in implementing reforms Visit of a senior representative of the American administration to Albania Today the American government assesses that Albania has so far become an example of success for a country in transition. According to the chairman of the “NMS” on high-level affairs of the American administration, Mr. Viljam Tejlor, Albania is the first among the countries of Eastern Europe in the market economy and the free economy, which has been implemented across all strategic objectives of the Albanian economy. Likewise, in the field of privatization of banks in our country and other institutions of the Albanian administration. “VAT”, the privatization of enterprises and entrepreneurship, economic and administrative decentralization, etc., according to Mr. Tejlor, have marked success in reforming the Albanian economy. Just one day earlier, another equally positive assessment of Albania had been made by an important representative institution of the American administration. The special envoy of the American president for the Balkans, Robert Gelbard, in his speech at the seminar organized by “VEFA” in Tirana, had predicted a brilliant future for the Albanian economy. Meanwhile, the senior official of the American administration, Aleksandër Vershbou, the main personality of that conference organized by “VEFA”, emphasized that Albania is the second country after Bosnia in the assistance shown to the people of Kosovo. The government’s conduct in relation to the standards and enforceability of the economic reforms established for the people deserves to be valued as a model for Albania and Kosovo in resolving internal issues at the highest level of governance. According to this famous professor of economics, who yesterday in Tirana was received by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Tritan Shehu, at the 17th international conference on “Politics and Strategy”, high-level administrative delegations from the participating countries gave their general opinion on Kosovo’s current politics and its political and economic governance. The working methodology according to the high standards of documents and developments in the region is thought to be a model for the Kosovo Albanians and all Albanians, Gelbard further argued, democracy and the clear reflection of reforms, making a major contribution to stability in the region.
