Whoever chooses the PD chooses victory

. The Democratic Party’s victory in these elections is certain. It stands before all celebrants because it is the victory of private property over collective property, the victory of capitalism over communism, the victory of justice against injustice, the victory of democracy against rebellion. No one should be tempted to link their vote to [?], their future to the unsupported, their happiness to its extinguishing. By voting for the PD, communism in Albania is finally broken and the yard comes to an end. The Democratic Party acknowledges its mistakes during these five years of governing. They are not irreparable mistakes, nor mistakes that lie in its substance. They have come as a result of development, to be overcome by further development. The amateur rebellion prepared by the communists took place because of the success of capitalism in Albania. An even greater success would finally remove entirely from the political scene it and all the other monsters that move in alliance with it. For the communists, war was the only possibility. And this war began against the institutions, then turned against the people. In conditions where law and order, the courts, and local government have ceased to function, those who are now seen... called committees, but are the Soviets of 1917, would have found it easier to suppress the newly begun democracy with fire. In Vlora, as in Tepelena, Saranda, Berat or elsewhere, institutions were destroyed in order to kill; institutions were destroyed in order to loot; institutions were destroyed to be replaced by war headquarters. The ideal of rebellion is 1945: bandits at the head of the state, violence against anyone, concentration of power once it has been seized by force. The ideal of rebellion is a return to the old structures, the families of the Bloc and former Sigurimi agents. The ideal of rebellion is casting aside and forgetting national ideals, preparing the conditions for the partition of Albania, creating extermination gangs and suppressing freedoms. Whoever has a rifle is free. This is the leitmotif of every rebellion, every form of banditry. The PD’s ideal is a free person, democratic institutions, institutional protection for people, freedom of thought and speech, freedom of property, freedom for the well-off and aid for the poor. The PD’s ideal is all of Albania and a strong state, without communism and communists, without gangs and bandits, without terror and terrorism. Whoever has ideas is free; everyone is free to build and think as they wish without harming others. Albanians can easily distinguish between a mistake and a catastrophe; they can easily forgive a mistake to save the country from catastrophe; they can easily build democracy so as not to revive communism; they can easily choose the comfort and breathing space of democracy over the violence of gangs. In this vote, Albanians must choose between bandits and their slaves, and democrats and the embodiment of democracy; between defeat and hope for the future. Everything is in contrast. There is no personal desire to set a trap. The vote expresses their own national and historical choice in this country. Were they broken, and are the concepts of real life better? Were they broken in order to make a choice? Patience has run very thin, to take the vote by force. Whoever chooses the PD chooses freedom. Sami NEJA

The SP gives away all the constituencies

The Socialists are spreading their defeat among the other left-wing parties. They can give away all the constituencies The Socialist Party is said to have given away around 25 constituencies to its satellites. Small parties and various individuals have approached it to receive a reward for the contribution they made to organizing the armed rebellion in several districts in the South. It is said that the condition for receiving a constituency is the number of institutions set on fire and, in some cases, the number of people killed, while the number of people paid to carry out all the destruction that has occurred so far has been forgotten. The three leaders of the Forum for Democracy, having been entirely forgotten and now seen as the SP’s lackeys, have once again set their speeches in motion as a guarantee of winning an electoral constituency. So far, five constituencies have been confirmed as given to Çeka and five to Gjinushi, as well as one constituency for PUK and the Association of the Persecuted. The surprising thing is that one has also been given to a member of the Albanian Right, P.K., chairman of the Democratic Right Party. Around 25 constituencies are also the entirety of the Socialists’ winning potential, unless the Union for Democracy has exaggerated the figures. Even the most optimistic person would say that the SP cannot win more than 25 constituencies. Out of 25, it gives away 25. Meanwhile, it has been reported that it intends to give away a total of 40 constituencies by election day. Naturally, it is easy for this party to give away constituencies. They are not its property. The SP expects to lose in almost all constituencies, so giving them away is just the same as not giving them away. Thus, the SP is not giving away its victories but its defeat.

“Union for Democracy”: We will win against the rebellion

9 parties and more than 30 associations and trade unions unite against the return of the Communists At the meeting, it was requested that the Government of National Reconciliation take measures to put an end to violence and terror by disbanding the armed committees as soon as possible, in accordance with the political agreements. To this end, the state of emergency must continue. ON PAGE 3
