The two Fatoses of the Socialist Party are delaying the Parliament session
Fatos Nano orders Fatos Klosi to sign the minutes
Thimo Kondi, after a week of exhausting travel, the editorial office will file a lawsuit for defamation against the newspaper
The PS government, checks and an unbroken web of intrigue
Despite the elections of 29 June and the result of 6 July, the PS does not think that its majority in the new Assembly is clear. The delay caused by the failure of the socialist commissioners to sign the minutes continues to keep the political climate in suspense. Instead of proceeding normally with the convening of parliament, the socialists have entered into internal games and power struggles among their own factions.
We will try by Monday to remind Tirana of what and some of its main things, both admired and criticized, but no one believes that this latest move to overturn the final KOZ report can bring any lawful development. It is about judges of the 'communist era', while Thimo left [?].
Thimo Kondi, chairman of the Central Election Commission, has come under extraordinary pressure from senior socialist leaders not to formalize the result. According to newspaper sources, Fatos Nano has asked Fatos Klosi to sign the final document so that the way can be opened for the first parliamentary session.
On the other hand, part of the other wing of the socialists views the creation of such a precedent with suspicion and fear. At stake are not only the mandates and the balance in the chamber, but also political control over the institutions that will be created after the elections.
