Socialist laws heading to Strasbourg
Today, the tenth day of Pjetër Arbnori’s hunger strike. Berisha meets with journalists
The PD will denounce the amendment of several laws in an international court. Today, party roundtable on Arbnori’s hunger strike. The Cornered Mandate is further internationalized.
Justice on trial
The sentencing of the leader of the PDSH, Tritan Shehu, to 24 years in prison, with no right to stand as a candidate for 5 years and with confiscation of his property, is only one link in the long chain of political persecution against the opposition. Yesterday’s decision of the Tirana Court of First Instance, announced with unprecedented haste and in complete lack of transparency, is an act that weighs heavily on the political climate in the country. It comes as part of an orchestrated campaign to delegitimize the opposition and target its leading figures.
At the same time, Pjetër Arbnori continues his hunger strike, entering the tenth day, in defense of his parliamentary mandate and the constitutional right to representation. This strike has drawn broad attention from public opinion and the international factor. A roundtable of political parties is expected to take place today regarding the situation created, while the Democratic Party has announced that it will pursue the international legal route to challenge the recent amendments to the laws, which it considers unconstitutional and political.
Berisha has warned that the issue will be taken to Strasbourg, as a symbol of a struggle to restore the rule of law, protect pluralism, and curb the arbitrariness of power. In the background remains the high political tension, the debate over the legitimacy of institutions, and the fierce clash between the ruling majority and the opposition.

The elderly Ahmeti is known on the international stage as a political scientist [?]. Not internationally adrenic as a philosopher of parliament. Statement of the Parliamentary Group of the PDSH, the spaces for the opposition are being further comforted
Statement of the Parliamentary Group of the PDSH,
the spaces for the opposition are being further comforted
For the parliament of democracy, the country of democracies, as a healthy one, is a functional institution and a voice for the representation of freedoms and rights. The constitutional precedent of 30 June is unacceptable and goes against all standards of parliamentary functioning. This irresponsible behavior by the majority seriously harms parliamentary life and creates a dangerous precedent for tomorrow. The opposition cannot be excluded by procedural means and political arbitrariness from exercising the mandate granted to it by the sovereign.
We demand the restoration of constitutional normality and full respect for the rights of the opposition. Any violation of them constitutes an act that worsens the political climate and hinders the institutional functioning of the country.
We are giving up all functions in parliament
This is the parliament of the tiny majority created by violence and manipulation. The opposition cannot become the decoration of a distorted political process. Its deputies will continue to defend before the public opinion and international institutions the right to representation and to denounce any attempt to abolish parliamentary pluralism. Under these conditions, participation in parliamentary functions becomes impossible and meaningless.
1.5 million Albanians drown together with the companies
Today, the relevant committee is also examining the compensation scheme. For the Democratic Party, this cannot be treated as a technical or financial issue, but as a national tragedy that has affected hundreds of thousands of Albanian families. The loss of savings, economic ruin, and the lack of state responsibility have brought severe social consequences. Full transparency and punishment for those who led the country to this catastrophe are demanded.

The polemic is also linked to the latest developments regarding the mandate of the opposition deputies and Pjetër Arbnori’s hunger strike.

Paskalo, do they forget the kikethet, the bad dog?
In a reaction published yesterday, the author raises strongly polemical tones against a public stance by Paskalo, using ironic language and political accusations. The article comes in the context of the fierce debate between the opposition camp and its opponents, where harsh rhetorical formulas are often used. The text refers to the developments of recent days and the polarized political climate.
