Nano is looking for his own end
The Southern committees against the blood
He has left no one untouched, and now he has begun to put himself in the crosshairs as well. This is the truth that emerges from an interview with Faik Myrtaj, a well-known opponent of Nano, whom he has as a personal friend and close collaborator of Fatos. As is known, Myrtaj was a Socialist MP from Vlora, former head of SHIK in that area, and a man of great influence in the South. But, as it seems, the time of benefits from close ties with the head of government has also ended for him.
The reason is quite simple: Faik Myrtaj has publicly expressed his indignation at the governance of Fatos Nano and has accused him of ruling with criminals, mocking the people, violating democratic freedoms, and setting up a mafia-like structure that runs the country. "You don't take Albania to Europe with criminals and bandits," Myrtaj has said.
According to him, the situation in Albania is dramatic, people have been impoverished, insecurity is everywhere, and power is concentrated in the hands of a handful of people tied to crime.
In his interview he emphasizes that Fatos Nano is approaching his political end and that opposition to him is growing even in the South, where he once had strong support.
