The issue about Cea comes out of the Prime Minister’s Office

Malaj creates an alibi by playing the role of the victim At last, the curtain has been opened on the two investigations of Z1 [?], the Prime Minister’s Office finally explains. This is not only the despair of XXII of the swift. One is that the Kosovar who killed Abdyl was immediately released, while Tarini and Vu[?]nosi have been confirmed, without going to sea. It was the District Prosecutor’s Office that had left Cesa.

The new Orwellian butcher

By Bardhyl LONDO Away from me, those like the oil sector!? The sector? despite all the failure of these conformisms with the belly-heavy men of today’s governments, to everyone’s surprise they still continue to have their own pups. They truly ask the devil to leave them alone, to be “freshened up” by the government of the so-called “rebirth”, where they have been cobbled together with butchers and butcheresses, not to give life and hope to the country, but to seize it, eat and drink, and sow fear and poverty among the others. To say “the new Orwellian butcher” is not enough, because we are truly in his days. For he and those like him know very well, with all the unwritten knowledge of the provincial demagogue, that the new hope of this country cannot be born from the old mud of the new man conceived by Enver. That is why shaves, haircuts, bargains and tremors remain in fashion in the government of this new political deformity. As for the new Orwellian butcher who carefully shelters the old and new servants of deception, it is enough to notice the way he behaves toward the opposition, the free press, toward every opposing voice. He is the embodiment of fear of free speech, of memory, of truth. That is why he seeks to dress the country in a black police-and-propaganda suit, where people should not think but applaud. In this bleak picture, Albania in 1998 suffers not only from a lack of bread, but also from a lack of public morality. From podium to podium, from television studios to the offices of power, the same kind of person appears who yesterday cheered for dictatorship and today swears by democracy only to preserve privileges. This grotesque transformation is more dangerous than poverty itself, because it poisons thought, language, and social relations. And when society is poisoned by organized lies, then evil itself is presented as normality. The new Orwellian butcher is ready to invent enemies, to stage scenarios, to use the police, the courts, and the administration to intimidate opponents. He does not build a state, but mud castles built on fear and servility. He recognizes not the citizen, but only the subordinate. He recognizes not law, but orders. He recognizes not debate, but insults and labels. And precisely here he resembles the dark figures of the dystopian novel, where power fears truth more than anything else. Albanians have suffered enough from the model of the new man, from the uniformity of thought, from wooden language, and from the fear that entered the house like an unwelcome guest. They cannot accept today a reissue of the same drama with new names and a modernizing touch-up. Democracy is not built with revenge, with crude propaganda, with invented enemies, with symbolic haircuts of opponents. It is built with freedom, with honest institutions, with respect for human dignity, and with a break from totalitarian heritage. This is the alarm that comes to us from the new Orwellian butcher: not only for what he does, but for what he represents. If we do not oppose him with courage, clear-mindedness, and civic responsibility, we risk losing not only the next elections, but our very ability to live as free human beings.
