Passports for democracy, that is the demand of a Slavo-communist government. Yesterday in parliament, the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke.
Albania has become, and is now becoming, before the eyes of the entire Albanian and world public opinion, a true police state. Never in a free country, never in the 20th century, have peaceful demonstrations by opposition citizens been forcibly banned by the police.
The de facto imposition of a state of siege for 5 days dealt a serious blow to the democratic process and freedom of speech. Opposition members, PD supporters and members of civil society were not allowed to protest. Their only "fault" was that they wanted to defend the free vote and freedom.
Power built on crime, trafficking and violence is seeking to impose submission. But today, in Skanderbeg Square, the democrats will prove that Albania cannot be the property of political gangs.
Tomorrow will be too late!
