Majko, cancel the arbitrary order of 19 September
The PD asks the Prime Minister to withdraw the dismissal order for those who took part in Azem Hajdari’s funeral ceremony
After the dismissal of 4, the PD informed the prime minister that his order to dismiss from work the participants in Azem Hajdari’s funeral ceremony is an unconstitutional order. According to the party’s statement, the prime minister does not have the authority to dismiss or fire a person, but with this order the government is following an unconstitutional tendency that aims to harm opposition supporters. “The Prime Minister is dishonestly punishing all those who, with respect, responded to the human duty to take part in Azem Hajdari’s funeral ceremony,” the party’s statement emphasizes. According to the PD, the order also contradicts Article 25 of the Constitution, which recognizes and guarantees to each person the peaceful and inviolable right to strike, to participate in strikes, and to be represented at work. Likewise, according to the statement, the order also contradicts Article 49 of the Labor Code, which states that termination of the contract without reasonable cause by the employer is invalid. “The adoption of this discriminatory and anti-national measure, by order of the prime minister, for political dismissals is an ugly act of primitive, Bolshevik and anti-national revenge, an exercise of pressure intended to hinder and intimidate Albanians,” the party’s statement concludes.
Within two days, the opposition demonstrators who stayed in “Skënderbej” Square after the murder of PD deputy Azem Hajdari became protagonists in no few acts of violence. From the burning of the newspaper “Koha Jonë” in the center of Tirana to the armed burning of three vehicles in front of the headquarters of the Democratic Party. To these two serious acts was added yesterday the placement of TNT in front of the headquarters of this political force. The TNT had been placed in one of the vehicles parked in front of the headquarters of this political force, in which the driver was also present. Fortunately, the explosive did not detonate. Political accusations were also not lacking yesterday over this event. It was the Democratic Party which accused the government and Prime Minister Nano of being the authors of these criminal acts. Meanwhile, yesterday as well, the opposition organized a protest rally in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, attended by PD leader Sali Berisha. During this short meeting with opposition supporters, Berisha accused Nano’s government of trying to stage another 14 September. Another incident was recorded yesterday in the premises of Hotel “Tirana”. An armed man entered the hotel and, gun in hand, threatened a foreign citizen. A few moments later, this man left and headed toward the opera theater building, where fortunately he was stopped. It is learned that the person in question was drunk. Meanwhile, yesterday too, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Sabri Godo was the target of a machine-gun attack. Fortunately, Godo was not injured. For all these serious events, there is still no detained person. Let alone anyone arrested.

The government protects the killers of Azem Hajdari
Today, 42 days since the murder of the Right-Wing Leader
“Every day and hour wasted in arresting the executors and their supporters, including the government, government officials and parliamentary groupings, carries a responsibility before Albanians, our European and American partners, and the entire democratic world public” “The government protects the killers of Azem Hajdari. Political violence in Albania is encouraged by the government and government officials. On 12 September, with a mafia-like scenario, they executed the student leader, the leader of Albanian democrats, Azem Hajdari. On 14 September, with the same criminal scenario, the government ordered and executed the unconstitutional coup against the state institutions. After the 14 September coup, the government systematically continued the chain of unprecedented political crime. In the center of Tirana, the country’s largest newspaper, ‘Koha Jonë’, was burned to ashes. During the night, in criminal arson, three private vehicles were burned in front of the headquarters of the Democratic Party, in one of which explosive was placed, with the aim of executing the persons inside. Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Sabri Godo, was attacked with a firearm. In addition to these, the black Sunday for the government directly after the execution of Azem Hajdari, Nano’s government punishes the citizens and officials who took part in Azem Hajdari’s funeral ceremony. Finally, the prime minister’s order to remove from work the administration and state employees for participation in the funeral ceremony is an unconstitutional order. This is an unconstitutional order by the prime minister, in violation of human rights and freedoms, contrary to Article 26 of the Constitution and Article 49 of the Labor Code. Union for Democracy and the Democratic Party call on Albanians to protest on Monday, 26 October, at 17:00 in “Skënderbej” Square, for freedom and human dignity, against the government that protects the killers of Azem Hajdari.”
