Kosovo belongs to the Albanians

Hundreds of thousands of Albanians take over the squares for Kosovo, “One nation, one stance.” Grand rally in “Skanderbeg” Square. Thunderous cheers for Berisha’s pardon Berkisha, let us make it clear to the Serbo-hordes in Belgrade how high the price will be that they will pay for this policy of terror. The Balkans and millions of other Albanians, all of Albania, are entirely determined not to allow such a thing. We will make it clear to the Serbo-hordes that the strength of the Albanians in their Albanian lands is determined to stand and defend their honor, their freedom, their homeland, their flag. Kosovo, hostage to delay Almost all forces with yesterday’s rally by Sali Berisha reached a peak and achieved the highest level of intensity. At 11:00, in front of the headquarters of the Democratic Party, groups upon groups of citizens from all four corners of Albania began to gather, and then headed toward “Skanderbeg” Square, where the final gathering was to be held. Young men and women with the national flag in their hands, carrying placards reading “Stop genocide in Kosovo,” “Albanians above all,” “Kosovo Republic” and many other slogans, continued to join the crowd that had already taken over Tirana’s main boulevard. Everywhere in Tirana, an unusual sight could be seen, reminiscent of the first days of December 1990, as the central boulevard and other key parts of the city were filled with endless lines of protesters advancing toward the square. The largest organized crowd in Albania since that of December 1990, for Kosovo. In “Skanderbeg” Square the rally opened with the national anthem. The first to take the podium was the chairman of the Democratic Party, Tritan Shehu, who, after praising the whole nation’s standing together to support their Kosovar brothers who are being massacred by the Serbs, said that this is the greatest tragedy in Kosovo since World War II. Then the head of the Democratic Party Youth Forum, Aldo Bumçi, took the podium and called on the whole world not to remain silent but to intervene to stop the Serbian terror in Kosovo. On behalf of Albanian women, actress Margarita Xhepa addressed the rally, saying with tears in her eyes, “We have forgiven our blood to Kosovo.” Next, a representative of the Kosovar families spoke, and after tears said that “We only ask for a Kosovo republic.” On behalf of the political parties, the leader of the legalists, Ekrem Spahia, spoke. The rally reached its peak after Mr. Berisha took the podium. Under the continuous cheers of hundreds of thousands of participants, calling Kosovo a hostage to delay, Berisha declared that “In Kosovo there is only one nation, and this nation cannot be divided.” Berisha said that the Albanians would never stop until they achieved their national aspiration. “No nation in Europe has done more for peace than the Albanian nation, but no one should dare to play with our national dignity and freedom,” Berisha said. Addressing Belgrade, Berisha declared that the punishment for this violence will be very severe and that the Albanians are determined to defend their freedom and dignity. The rally ended with strong patriotic calls and national songs.

Serbian barbarity continues in Kosovo

Milosević’s police and army continue the massacres in the Drenica area. At least 50 Albanians killed and villages burned and destroyed RD FLASH Serbian barbarity continues in Kosovo Milosević’s police and army continue the massacres in the Drenica area. At least 50 Albanians killed and villages burned and destroyed Heavy gunfire and rising tension in Kosovo, where Serbian forces continue to carry out massacres against the Albanian civilian population. In all the cities of Kosovo, from Podujeva and Vushtrria in the north to Gjakova, Suhareka and Prizren in the south, and in Kosovo’s capital, Prishtina, in the center of the country, there were demonstrations yesterday organized by the Council for the Defense of Human Rights and Freedoms. Under the slogans “There can be no peace in the Balkans if terror in Kosovo is not stopped” and “Freedom for Kosovo, independence for Kosovo,” hundreds of people demonstrated in the center of Prishtina and in other cities of Kosovo. According to the Albanian news agency ATA, the situation in the Drenica area, in central Kosovo, was extremely serious. Fighting and exchanges of fire between Serbian forces and Albanians were recorded in Lower Prekaz, the village that on Monday had been the target of police bombardment by Milosević’s forces with heavy artillery.
