From the parallel state to the Albanian state

The voting in Kosovo certified the maturity of a free society and the massive participation in it. Some circles in Kosovo are trying to devalue this, labeling the first democratic elections as primitive. Nevertheless, this is a success of the Albanians of Kosovo. It is clear that many of those who identify freedom with disorder are disturbed by these elections. This is not only about certain positions of circles in Kosovo, but also about some so-called "civil society" in Albania. The elections showed that the Albanians of Kosovo are capable of creating their own legitimate institutions. They are an important step from the parallel state to the Albanian state. In their long-drawn-out propaganda, these circles have exerted continuous pressure against any serious political organization of the Albanians of Kosovo. For years, they have denied and mocked the meaning of institutions created by the free will of the Albanians. Today, after the elections have been held, the same voices seek to discredit them with arguments that run counter to the very principles of democracy. Kosovo needs strong institutions and clear political representation. This is the best way to withstand Serbian violence and to affirm the will of the Albanians for freedom and independence. Any attempt to obstruct this process, in the name of cynicism or political adventurism, is direct service to Belgrade.
