Afterwards the prosecution opened an investigation which, according to the opposition, stalled. The files prepared by customs and other state structures have for four months ended up in the offices of the Ministry of Finance and the Prosecutor General, without any visible public decision being made. Arbnori stated that the Albanian diaspora in the USA has frozen investments in Albania because of political and economic uncertainty, adding that investments will resume only when the country has stability, order, and legal guarantees.
