Ylli Bufi steals 1 million dollars

Ylli Bufi steals 1 million dollars The Ministry of Economy's officials are annoyed by the import of electricity If the cooperation of Socialist government officials with Koço Angjeli in the standing committee is to be such as his action in the savings bank, things will begin to move even toward the poles Berisha presents the Democratic Party platform for 1999 how do we get Albania out of the crisis? Ylli Bufi's action has a history. It was he who, as chairman of the Parliamentary Economy Committee, rejected the opposition's request to examine the problem of electricity imports, describing it as a matter outside the remit of this committee. So Ylli Bufi appeared this time on the government's side to defend the accusations of corruption in electricity imports. Ylli Bufi of the PS misled public opinion a few days ago with an article full of slander, intrigue, manipulation and half-truths about this problem. Ylli Bufi before zaaresidifjer made the PD's comment on the import of electricity in 1997. Ylli Bufi's action has a history. In the parliamentary Economy Committee under the direction of Ylli Bufi, he rejected the opposition's request to examine the issue of electricity imports. So Ylli Bufi is among the main officials of this affair. This PS man chose the crown of his argument with the lie that the PD had bought electricity at a price of 22.5 cents. This is false. The real purchase price of electricity was 8.5 cents per kilowatt. Ylli Bufi knows this very well. He also knows that the PD bought electricity without bribes, without intermediaries, without fictitious tenders and without corrupt dealings, as is happening today. In 1997 the PD government stopped importing electricity not because there was no money, but because the country had fallen into complete chaos. Today the Socialist government is paying 11.8 cents per kilowatt and is adding to this payment a hidden commission of around 1 million dollars. Instead of giving explanations for this scandal, Ylli Bufi has taken on the role of its defender. He uses slander and deception to hide the truth about the beneficiaries of this corrupt affair. Only dialogue can resolve the crisis

By PD IKDKA In recent years Europe has highlighted the serious situation in Albania. Albania's integration, the transfer of sovereignty in favor of peace and freedom, also requires mature and responsible actors. The opposition cannot become part of a predetermined game in which the government sets the rules, deals the cards and acts as referee at the same time. Under conditions in which Albanian citizens face a multiple crisis, political, economic and social, its solution can come only through dialogue and respect for democratic standards. Without this spirit, any effort for stability will remain fragile. The opposition has been and remains ready to contribute to an exit from the crisis, but not by accepting impositions or legitimizing the manipulation of institutions. What is needed is an honest process in which the will of the citizens is respected and political freedom guaranteed. Within this framework, the democratic forces call for open and serious communication, placing the national interest above narrow party calculations. Only sincere dialogue can create the ground for stability and long-term development.
