Anti-crime strategy

Those who are staunchly standing here, rising innocently against the headquarters of the PD initiative “For salvation from crime,” risk becoming part of the anti-national chorus as slanderers and defenders of crime. This anti-Albanian stance is being held by certain figures of the type “Rexhep Meidani,” “Skënder Gjinushi,” “Neritan Ceka,” who once ate and drank and, in good spirits, pushed for the creation of the “de jure” opposition, fully aware that they were instruments of the State Security and placed at the service of the corruption of democracy. For some of them, the dictatorship state itself has left indelible traces, because it gave them ranks and offices, while for others the files are opened and closed according to political appetite. To come out in support of the mafia and the criminal element, these opportunist politicians are using the language of last resort and despair. They are worried not about the victims, not about order, not about Albanian families being terrorized by gangs, but about the “danger” that the world of crime faces from the opposition's initiative. This makes them moral accomplices in the serious situation the country is going through. The PD has issued a clear call for the unification of all national energies against trafficking, murders, kidnappings, and the corruption that has gripped the administration. Whoever stands against this initiative, in the name of “new politics,” is in fact seeking the survival of the old power scheme that lives off dirty money, smuggling, and underground alliances. There is no doubt that honest Albanians understand very well where justice lies. They want a state that protects the citizen and not the criminal, a police force that catches the gangs and not the political opponent, a justice system that punishes the guilty and not the victim. That is why the public reaction to the pact proposed by the PD is supportive and hopeful. Those who are now shouting against the pact do so because they know that a new legal order will affect their pockets, their clientelist schemes, and their allies in the trafficking underworld. For them, every step toward the rule of law is a threat. For citizens, it is salvation. This is why, in this battle, the divide is clear: on one side, Albania of order, law, and Europe; on the other, the world of crime and those who serve it, either loudly or in shameful silence.
