The statement says that the Clinton-Majko talk on Kosovo was positive, but this does not diminish the American administration's critical assessment of the situation in Albania. On Friday, the Serbs blocked the Albanian delegation on the road, mostly by threatening the members of the delegation with weapons. According to sources in Prishtina, the Serbian authorities prevented the movement of Albanian representatives toward the airport, thus delaying the departure for Rambouillet. International observers stated that the climate of tension created by Serbian forces in Prishtina has significantly complicated efforts for a peaceful solution.
