Millions of dollars stolen from me

Alarm over the government's rampant corruption. The ministers are still thieves During the PD government, 1,500 anti-corruption cases were detected and 2,400 administrative measures were taken. During the left-wing government, not only is there no anti-corruption crackdown at all, but on the contrary, 90% of those dismissed in customs, taxes, police and administration continue to be involved.

Freedom for fifty political prisoners

Freedom for fifty political prisoners The time has come to release the other political prisoners from absurd charges. Majko rides above the corruption scandals

Majko rides above the corruption scandals The latest anti-corruption call by Mr. Ilir Meta in parliament, saying it must be curbed and punished, has been nothing more than a truly hopeless political act by a man disappointed by a corrupt government, but at the same time just as ridiculous an alibi for an important governing partner, which does nothing but bring to mind the pseudo-government of Nano that began on 24 July 1997. These are true words, because we must bear in mind that for a period of almost 20 months, Mr. Meta was the prime minister of this government and Fatos Nano's first deputy, as well as his successor at the head of the government. This means that Mr. Meta was actively involved in all the decisions and policies of this government and likewise in all its failures and scandals. Consequently, whether in the role of Fatos Nano's first deputy or in that of the current prime minister, Mr. Meta bears the main responsibility for the shocking corruption scandal that has become ubiquitous in Albania. This is first and foremost because scores and hundreds of scandalous acts of corruption and affairs have been documented, such as the telephone card scandal at PTT with damage of 5 million dollars in the liberalization tender, the scandal of the distribution of one million dollars in Malaysian loans at PTT, the firewood scandal in Tirana and Berat, the scandal of bathtubs and drug trafficking, the scandal of oil theft and trafficking in Ballsh and Fier, the scandal of funds for the construction of villas, the scandal of favoring private companies in transactions with the state, the scandals of favoritism and gains in public procurement, as well as many other forms of corruption with Albanian taxpayers' money. All the more so because some of these scandals have been denounced in the press and in public not only by the opposition, but also by former members of this government. On the other hand, the situation becomes even more alarming from the fact that the government of Prime Minister Majko is showing no political will to confront this epidemic that is destroying the Albanian state. On the contrary, in many cases it has protected or remained silent in the face of compromised figures. This makes Meta's appeal today even less credible. If corruption is to be fought, it must begin with the government itself and with the concrete responsibilities of its leaders. Today, 784 days since the killing of Luani te Blloforit hunger strike for the killers of Azem Hajdari The police have surrounded the house of Luani te Blloforit. Haxhiu has arrested the sons of Gani Çeni. This is how the political and still unsolved killing of Azem Hajdari is unfolding and being resolved.
