Albania has fallen into the hands of the prosecutors. For two years running, a group of people chosen by President Meidani have been doing everything possible to tighten their grip on the rule of law, destabilize Albania and seriously endanger Albanian society, putting and keeping millions of Albanians under tension. They are precisely Tirana’s political prosecutors, who two days ago arrested former Interior Minister Teta in the courtroom, solely to prevent his testimony concerning 14 September and 12 September—testimony that could expose a large part of the Albanian state, including the political prosecutors. For some time, people in Albania have spoken about the danger posed by President Meidani through his questionable installation of his own people in the Prosecutor’s Office, as well as in SHIK, the courts, etc. In the autumn of last year, he managed to keep Fatos Klosi in the post of head of SHIK, one of those implicated in the murder of Azem Hajdari, the author of several interviews in the foreign press portraying Albania as an Islamic terrorist country, and also the author of the most serious insults and accusations against the Kosovo Liberation Army, which Klosi has linked to the terrorist Bin Laden. The institution headed by Klosi has waged an unceasing psychological war against citizens, who are targeted with special warfare through media under their control. President Meidani also has the political Prosecutor’s Office in his hands; its people are appointed and protected by him. Such is Chief Prosecutor Arben Rakipi, through whom Gjinushi, Meidani and many other state officials have managed to free their bandits from prison—criminals and murderers known throughout Albania. The political prosecutors are responsible for the arrest of the six highest-ranking leaders of the PD government, and are the same people who convicted the leaders in the political farces staged in Tirana’s courts. In the trial over 14 September, politicians, well-known journalists, PD leaders and activists, and ordinary citizens sit in the dock. The political prosecutors have also sought the arrest of opposition leader Berisha, while blocking the investigation into the murder of Azem Hajdari, making themselves the most loyal protectors of criminals. The arrest of the former Interior Minister was just one of the scenarios that Rexhep Meidani’s people in the country’s key state institutions are devising to destabilize the country. The attack on Teta has no precedent, while his detention was an open attempt to pressure him into keeping hidden everything he knows about the state crimes of Meidani’s and Gjinushi’s people. His release was also in the same vein: it had no legal basis, just like the arrest, but was intended to make the testimony disappear. He too could become a victim of the political prosecutors and Meidani, as has happened to dozens of political figures. If the prosecutors twist the matter, it could be turned into alleged collaboration with the criminals in the Ministry of the Interior and SHIK in devising and drafting the plot to eliminate Azem Hajdari. Today, Meidani’s people are a disgrace to the Albanian state and Albania. Together with the President, they make up that ruined and corrupt part of Albanian politics that must be swept away as soon as possible. The more the Prosecutor’s Office, SHIK and Meidani’s courts carry out executions, the deeper the country will sink into chaos.
