President of the mafia
The ridiculous manner of the President of the Republic, Rexhep Meidani, in yesterday’s statement on TVSH, certainly arouses more pity and irony than bitterness. His endless complaints, whether against political opponents or against the critical press, have generally characterized his miserable presidency. Now that his term has finally expired and the reckless hopes he still holds for a second mandate truly no longer have any value, the ridiculous president of Albania has once again shown his true face. If earlier he had declared that the only way to oppose the government is through referendums against them, yesterday, in an act that brings to mind medieval regimes, he came to replace the free vote with the gun, accusing the opposition of being fond of terrorist acts and of saying to itself that the country is moving into chaos because of it. These statements show nothing other than the complete moral and human decline of Rexhep Meidani, who in this final public act of his presidency has exposed himself completely naked.
The man who stole the constitution from the Albanians, who gave the powers of arbiter of the Albanian conflict to Edi Rama, who has invented a parliament that no one voted for, cannot today play the role of moralist and anti-terrorist. It is precisely he who has caused an unprecedented political and civil war in the country by inciting class war, bringing down a legitimate parliament that emerged from democratic elections, and encouraging the police and criminal terror that now rules the country. Meidani’s statement yesterday is nothing more than the last attempt of a man who has been totally discredited, a man who in any case has never played a presidential role. It is only an admission of the fact that the presidency of the mafia is heading toward its end, but with an extraordinary balance sheet of failure. Under Meidani’s presidency, Albania has passed through one of its darkest periods, in which for the first time the president has turned into a blind soldier of a clique that rules the country through crime and drugs.
Yesterday’s president has forgotten that Albanians now know very well all the dark roles he has played during these years, how he has become a submissive soldier of the prime minister who has forced him to appear before cameras to repeat what he tells him. No one can expect anything else from him anymore, except to hear pseudo-declarations against the opposition and against the free press. The most important issue in this case is that Albanians do not need a comic and unfortunate president, who offers only political farce, but a serious and honest president who will serve the country. Rexhep Meidani can no longer be that under any circumstances.

The government protects Azem Hajdari’s killers
He and other individuals are implicated in the murder of Azem Hajdari at the PD headquarters. While today marks the year of the trial process, the government in power has already shown that it is protecting the killers, obstructing the full uncovering of the crime, and hiding those responsible.
