In the so-called question session concerning one of the greatest scandals in the history of the world’s existence of states, Prime Minister Meta and the left-wing coalition used—or, rather, let us say, abused—the power of the state to cover up one of the most important issues preoccupying Albanian public opinion: the theft of the Treasury. In the name of true transparency, the Albanian prime minister once again proclaimed before Albanians his credo and his method of working. According to Meta, transparency is not what actually exists, but what the prime minister and the Albanian government want it to be. The Treasury matter is precisely not merely an economic issue, nor simply a monetary account; it is a much deeper issue concerning Albanians’ fundamental conception and concern: is there, or is there not, currently in Albania even a trace of that structure that can be called a state
