The government protects Azem’s killers

Every day that passes since the killing of Azem Hajdari, the symbol of democracy and pluralism, proves the involvement of Fatos Nano’s government and his successor in the crime that shook the entire Albanian world.
The governments of the former communists, which leave the criminals who took the life of the December Movement Leader free and unpunished, show Albanians that they have been and are on the side of the murderers, who have names of their own but are untouched by those in power. Democrats and all Albanians who loved and honored Azem Hajdari cannot tolerate this fact under any circumstances. The government must either apprehend the criminals and bring them to justice, or publicly declare that it itself carried out the murder of Azem Hajdari.

A democratic family massacred in Tropojë
An armed gang attacked a well-known Democratic family in Valbonë, in the district of Tropojë, causing four innocent victims.
During the attack with automatic Scorpion-type weapons, prominent DP activist Shkëlzen Selimaj and his mother were killed on the spot, while two other family members were seriously wounded.
The incident took place on Monday evening at around 9:30 p.m. The gang surrounded the house and then opened fire on the members of the Selimaj family. Sources from Valbonë say that Selimaj was a prominent DP activist, which is believed to be the reason for his murder. Village residents said that the deceased and his family were known as honest people and had never had problems with other families or individuals. The killing of DP militants has now become part of the strategy and criminal activity of gangs operating under the protection of the government. The killing of Selimaj and his mother has sparked a reaction and outrage among residents of the area, which has been under the control of criminal gangs for three years.
