The three right-wing politicians together at an event. Ndoka’s inclusion in government is sought

Besnik Mustafaj and Aleksandër Biberaj, two of the personalities within PD who have publicly expressed their position against some actions of the Democratic Party, met publicly with Tirana Mayor Lulzim Basha. The meeting was incidental, but it was also observed by the cameras covering the event.

Lulzim Basha, Mayor of Tirana, is provoking things through his meetings and overtures with the people who have been most openly aligned with the new party line expected to be created by President Bamir Topi, after he leaves his mandate at the head of state.
Two days earlier, precisely on the day of PD’s 21st anniversary celebrations, Tirana Mayor Lulzim Basha took part in the inauguration of a library at the American University of Tirana. There, Lulzim Basha met former PD Foreign Minister Besnik Mustafaj and former MP of this political force Aleksandër Biberaj. Although the meeting was public, it did not catch the journalists’ attention. But the footage and film sequences from the event show the mayor drawing close to Besnik Mustafaj and Aleksandër Biberaj.
The two former Democratic officials hold important positions at this private university. Besnik Mustafaj is responsible for the university’s foreign relations, while Aleksandër Biberaj is a lecturer at this institution. As can also be seen from the photo published by shqiptarja.com, the mayor approached the two officials Biberaj and Mustafaj. As is known and has become clear, Aleksandër Biberaj will be part of the structures of the new party that will be created by President Bamir Topi when he leaves office...

Road to the President
I — Since you didn’t happen to come through Albania, I asked you too for a coffee. And since we are all occupied with the affairs of our country here inside, some more and some less, I think we should sip this coffee at a distance: I from my office here in Tirana, and you over there in London, where you first gave us signals about the president.
He — A little difficult, but I read what you write.
I — Mr. Nano, it is not necessary to read what the newspapers write, but to read what the people say and write. And who more than you, a five-year man, would not aspire to be President.
Up and down, in the eyes of former officials, former MPs, former leaders, former directors, you and your time in government have been ‘gold’. Money in abundance. Economic bloom and prosperity. Corruption? As much as you like, but money came and went. Put bluntly, some were pleased and enriched, but others, many times more, were impoverished.
To be honest, how seriously we took the catharsis you began in Albania. Left and right, the hearts of Albanians united with and for you, to uproot once and for all the seed of corruption from the country. It cannot be said, as Edi Rama writes in his own “Kurban”, that you wandered from village to village on foot...
It cannot be said, as Edi Rama writes in his own “Kurban”, that you wandered from village to village on foot...
I, who followed it closely at the time, think it was a sincere campaign. But the sincerity of my thinking was undone when the people you accused most of corruption, you placed as the so-called evil in government, for the sake of the grand consensus. Therefore it is worth asking: was it a fight for the state, or a fight for power?...

Drugs, handcuffs for the Kavaja councillor
An Albanian citizen wanted internationally by Interpol was stopped yesterday by the Italian authorities. Ervin Çelçima, a member of the municipal council of the city of Kavaja from the Socialist Party, was caught as soon as he entered Italian territory, after being wanted on charges of exploitation of prostitution and trafficking in narcotic substances.
According to confidential information, Çelçima had no knowledge that he was internationally wanted and the stop by the Italian police authorities came as a surprise to him. Ervin Çelçima was second on the list of the seven left-wing members of the Kavaja municipal council, which is ruled by the left, not only in the council, but also with the new mayor, after many years of leadership by the right.
