Servet Pëllumbi supports the expulsion of the rebel MP: He broke the internal rules PELLUMBI: Islami should leave today BERISHA: Kaçi, come to PD Today is the meeting of the SP parliamentary group. The prime minister invites the opponent. Nano against Rama: The Socialist Party like Enver Hoxha’s PPSH. Malaj: No to punishments, it harms the party The news The professor of the socialists, Pëllumbi, commenting on Rama’s proposal to remove Islami from the SP group, said that the party has rules and their implementation is a sign of respect for them. He said that the experience of parties in democratic countries includes exclusion. TIRANA JAKIN MARENA The professor of the socialists, Servet Pëllumbi, just one day before the meeting of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party, has stated that in a political party there are certain rules that must be strictly observed. In this context, in a statement to the newspaper “Shqiptarja.com”, he said there is no reason for so much noise over the deregistration of Socialist MP Kastriot Islami, since a rule of the SP is being applied, a rule that was voted for by everyone, even by the very person now facing penalty. For him it is very important that there be freedom in the Socialist Party, but also that the rules be applied, as is the case in other parties in democratic countries, where there are exclusions or deregistrations for those who do not comply with them. “In fact I do not want to deal with this issue, because a political party has everything defined according to its own internal rules. Havel and the missing Albanian model

Editorial BY AFRIM KRASNIQI Havel and the missing Albanian model Vaslav Havel, an extraordinary life. In the anti-communist political elite, his name stands at the top. He had all the qualities of a symbol of the democratic leader: intellectual, writer, philosopher, political scientist and statesman. Havel raised his stature through courage and dissent; imprisoned several times, the author of the Charter 77 manifesto did not hesitate for a single moment of his life to fight for democratic rights and principles. He led the peaceful revolution of 1989 in Czechoslovakia, was unanimously elected the last President of that state and two years later President for two terms in the new Czech state. In the years of dissent, in creativity, in political resistance, in revolution, in transition, at the head of the united and divided state, - he received and deserves the highest praise as a political leader in a post-communist country. After his presidential mandate he devoted himself to European politics, human rights and civic values. For Albanians, his active role in receiving the embassy refugees in 1990 remains significant, and especially his defense and promotion of the Kosovo issue. Havel is a Czech politician, but his model has crossed the borders of a single country. Every politician will quote him, every country translated his publications, every serious organization or university would like to have him as part of it. A living hero, a symbol of anti-communist dissent, an inspiration for courage and virtues, a progressive political thinker, a humane politician who lived with... continued on page 3 ...he received and deserves the highest praise as a political leader in a post-communist...
