BY ANILA BASHA Tefta Radi’s 60th anniversary When she first entered the offices of Albanian Radio Television and timidly opened the news microphone to present the bulletins, Tefta Radi could never have imagined that her 60th anniversary would be celebrated among friends, journalists and artists in the hall of a house in Tirana. The “Nermin Vlora Falaschi” Foundation organized the conference on women journalists, considering this also to be an important event in the year of the country’s 100th anniversary of Independence. Tefta Radi, among flowers and emotions, was there not to bow her head, but as a recognized icon of Albanian public television. Unfortunately, in fact, in the hall filled with journalists and artists, not one of the leaders of Albanian Public Television was present, an institution which Ms. Radi has been part of since 1979. But there were many television journalists who had come to this event, as well as many other journalists from various media outlets in the country. Since that year, she has never been separated, in her journey from Radio to Television.
