The election of the Socialist leader in the capital for February 20 is degenerating PLOT IN THE PS IN TIRANA Secret meeting of Rama’s people Last night at 21:30 Blendi Klosi and Saimir Tahiri gathered the heads of the units for the candidates Opponents: The procedures followed violate the statute and are not democratic News The elections for the new head of the Socialist Party in the capital have caused serious "fractures" among the central socialist leaders, where accusations have not been lacking that all statutory rules are being violated in the intra-party selections within the PS. Meanwhile, all efforts are being made to conclude the election of Baraj’s successor on February 20. TIRANE JAKIN MARENA The election of the chair of the Socialist Party of the city of Tirana, a process expected to take place on February 20, the very day of the fall of dictator Enver Hoxha’s bust, has taken on the dimensions of a real "plot." Prime Minister Collar
Editorial
BY ARBEN RROZHANI Prime Minister Collar Let’s leave Jozefina to her troubles. Let her go wherever she wants. Let her take it out on the people of the capital, with our money. Because that day, I do better, without making a fuss and without being the speaker of parliament, without blowing up at the men of the opposition, without forgetting to remind them that she will send their clashes outside. Let her kiss sheikhs, emirs and princes, but be careful not to do as she did with the mayor of Tirana, Lulzim Basha, because he too has entered the sieve of flirtations with the sheikhs’ millions. Our trouble and our hope are with the prime minister, the one who in September 2005, since he came so as not to leave the head of Albanians, publicly promised us that "these will be the most intense days of my life." And he truly has had them. Look at the past week, when people have been dying one after another from hunger and winter. On February 9, in a meeting with the Azerbaijani president, Alijev, he wore black high-neck shoes and a black collar. On the 11th he took part in the conference on "Tirana in the 100th anniversary of the declaration of independence." He had a blue collar. On the 13th he went by helicopter to Kukës and spoke at the Emergency Staff meeting. He took the collar off. On the 13th, at the weekly meeting of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party he spoke about Azerbaijan. He had a cyclamen-colored collar. In the afternoon he chaired the State Committee for the organization of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Albania’s independence. He wore a burgundy collar. He had that same collar at lunch, receiving the new ambassador of the State of Qatar, Yossef Bin Hassan Bin Yossef Al Saai. Is there a more intense life than that, for a 67-year-old? On the 13th he went by helicopter to Kukës and spoke at the Emergency Staff meeting. He took the collar off
