These cold winter days, with the lights going on and off, electric heaters switched on in every room and insanely overloading the grid, he throws out the idea that brings everyone together: gasification of the country. A colossal project, but one that would be the best solution for every home and industry. Politician Berisha threw before the Albanians, in front of the opposition, his card to continue holding the steering wheel of the country’s administration. “Believe me and the next legislature – he clearly seems to be telling everyone – and I will guarantee you heating at home.” Berisha’s proposals are pragmatic, appealing to ordinary people, and he prepared this idea to serve it with his trip to Azerbaijan, not being sure who accompanied him and what they would think about Ali Evsen. Berisha knows very well the psychology of the neo-era we live in, where legality, cleanliness and correctness are just one option among many necessary ones: all that matters is achieving the goal; the roads and means matter little. Just as he completed the Nation’s Road amid much controversy and suspicions of misuse of funds, even criminal misuse, in the same somewhat opaque way he seeks to bring another extraordinary miracle: the gasification of the country. The opposition must be highly professional and serious in order to dismantle this idea if it is a soap bubble, but if it is true, it must know how to think about what it can propose as a counterbalance. Otherwise, in addition to freezing the electoral reform, it risks freezing itself as an eternal opposition.
