THE WISE MEN-SERVETI: WE ARE NOT THE POLITBURO TYPE
Debate in the Socialist Party / Rexhep Meidani, Sabit Brokaj and Namik Dokle outraged: We have an advisory role, we are not decision-makers. The professor's statement is hasty, he should withdraw it
Professor Servet Pëllumbi accused the Socialist Party's political council: There, you go to relax
The news The statement by former Speaker of Parliament Servet Pëllumbi, according to which the Council of the Wise has become like the political bureau that relaxes the chairman, has prompted a reaction from former president Meidani, deputy speaker of Parliament Dokle and former Defense Minister Brokaj, who said that his statement is wrong.

The wedding of the enemy
Comment BY GENCI KOJDHELI The wedding of the enemy The visit of the Albanian Prime Minister to Turkey last week caused many disturbances, both humorous and troubling, because of somewhat rushed statements about the blood relationship between Albanians and Turks. Nevertheless, the debate over the Prime Minister's words would be superficial if it remained only at the analysis of the biological, real or virtual link between two nations that undoubtedly have shared much history, culture and values over the last five centuries, and this is as true as it is undeniable.

To provide a little more information and background on the debate, it should be mentioned that among the “candidates” aspiring to join the Security Council are Germany, India, Brazil and Japan, while Turkey has only recently raised its voice for a possible candidacy, which is nevertheless extremely difficult to turn into reality. On what grounds and on what advice the Prime Minister decided to support Turkey's candidacy for the Security Council, alongside that of Germany, for example, remains a mystery, although such a positioning of Albania does not go unnoticed by EU countries.... ► continues on page 5
