Editorial BY ARBEN RROZHANI Yesterday afternoon another tragedy was recorded on Albania’s roads. At least 14 victims and many others injured. A pain for many Albanian families who lost their loved ones. Today is a day of mourning and the government has declared it so, and with that another tragic chapter of the loss of lives in Albania will also close. Accidents happen everywhere, even on a more tragic scale. On Albanian roads they have been numerous and are an everyday occurrence, and here too the state bears part of the responsibility, because it has not given the driver the road and the safety on it. They also happen in wealthy countries, as was the accident two months ago in a tunnel in Switzerland, where at least 22 Belgian children lost their lives as they were returning home. But we are poor and unlucky even in misfortune. A family from Pogradec was desperately looking for their daughter last night. She is not on the list of the dead, nor of the injured, nor of the unidentified. The Ministry of the Interior itself, only six hours after the accident, posted a preliminary list on media networks, in which several students were missing. At least three were unidentified, while the public and the media still do not have a complete list of those unfortunates who died in the ravine or in the military hospital.
