Andreas Nothelle, of Catholic faith, ambassador of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna, and his Libyan girlfriend, Salem, also part of the OSCE delegation, have tied the knot in the Et’hem Bey Mosque in Tirana. Impressed by the religious harmony in Albania, they decided that this mosque would be the ideal place to celebrate their 5-year relationship.

The eternal war of statues
The Dictionary of the Albanian Language has difficulty making a distinction between shtatore (statue, full-length statue), bust (sculpture), monument (memorial), and memorial (sculpture or architectural work). The almost identical meaning among them makes it even harder to publicly identify such a work of art, which essentially expresses appreciation for a certain event or individual. Such creations are found in every city and, of course, in every state.
