Political chirping

A coffee with... BY ANILA BASHA Political chirping I had not seen the Prime Minister for a long time. He had had trips abroad, but he also had not appeared much on TV lately. But here he was. All the splendor at the parliamentary group meeting, showing us that the leader of the PS, Edi Rama, cannot defeat Prime Minister Sali Berisha by tweeting away. I set off for coffee. Me – Good afternoon, Prime Minister. It’s a bit cold here. Him – Ah Anila, it’s very cold outside, it won’t warm up. Me – Yes, yes. But I’m not hearing anything about warmth or cold anymore. Hips, floods-light in abundance. It doesn’t come, frost-no light at all. We don’t think about that, Prime Minister. For example yesterday: web pages, blogs, forums, Facebook, Twitter, were all only about the chirping. The criminal events of four days earlier were forgotten. Never mind that two girls were killed, Edi Rama is chirping, the citizens were saying in the comments. Eh, there’s no problem that the whole north of Albania has frozen, just like all of Europe in fact, worse than us, but there they are somewhat more organized, whereas in Albania even the filming crew that goes out for shooting gets stuck in the snow. And still we chirp. No problem that the deputy head of the KLD is being dismissed with a sham procedure, he too is chirping, from morning till night on television screens. And Bamir Topi? Strangely, we have not heard him these days chirping about his party. That American ambassador has driven us crazy, chirping on Frangaj’s television channels, precisely where the voice of the majority is heard most. He too chirps, showing us that the attack on the prosecutor general is not liked by the USA. Fine, the American, but Sanino from the EU, what is he singing while chirping because we have not fulfilled the EU recommendations, the 12 obligations they have set for us?... Page 10
