Commentary BY SELIM BELORTAJA A program for the citizen! Little by little the campaign is reaching its peak and it is normal that the initial politicized atmosphere — purely political, should gradually be replaced by a more rational reaction from people. Rightly, citizens expect far more than electoral enthusiasm. Even less can they be satisfied with brief artistic demonstrations, and parades of “works” ..without inventory. The experience of the twenty-some years of political contests, with both achievements and well-known disappointments, has taught everyone that pre-election political rhetoric and services say little. Their lives, the lives of their families and the future of their children remain, for them, the most important thing, and the question “how bad is the opponent” has almost no weight compared with the great question: what kind of Albania will I live in? How much work, services and dignity does it offer? The corner of the field of the right- wing southward percentage program that seeks to win their sympathy. Therefore, the campaign is gradually showing us a new face: where emotions and political liking have less and less room, and a primary place is increasingly taken by... programmatic competition and arguments about possible solutions.
