Sometimes I say jokingly that we have all gone mad, but what is happening lately better matches what I had considered a phrase said on the spot, just to avoid leaving the sentence half-finished and to say something even though I had no intention of saying it. Ani is my 17-year-old nephew. He was born in Greece, has two Albanian parents, but he has a Greek passport. When my father told me he was leaving today (yesterday) for Greece, I went out of my mind. Poor boy, I said to myself, while thinking that he also had his younger brother with him, and the two of them alone, with no parent, just with a power of attorney. Vacation like mine...

Comment BY MIRA KAZHANI Vacation like mine... I have decided that one week a year I will dedicate myself to a free love. My parents! This year, naturally, to an island closer to the Albanian border, Corfu. Mine agreed to make this trip by car. A car trip is somewhat more tiring, but it gives you the chance to look around and take it in. The usual route is Tirana-Tepelenë-Gjirokastër-Sarandë. Enough, the Kosovo compatriots would say. The coast side has long since deteriorated over the years and, moreover, the narrow one does not shine much either (I speak for myself). Apart from a half-weekend in Jalë, I did not even attempt any trip to those parts, where girls do not bathe in the sea, not because they do not know how to swim, or because they are afraid of the cold, crystal-clear water!
