We give our best in difficult times
BY Alba Malltezi Shqiptarja.com wants to raise awareness among state institutions and Albanian society in support of the most vulnerable people in society. Today is the World Day of awareness and solidarity with autistic people. In emergency situations, Albanians give their best. In everyday life, in routine, in planning, in institutionalization, in respect for laws and rules, it seems that we still have not quite learned the ropes. And here we are not talking about a few people, but about all of us. The desire to do good, to help those who are weaker, must become a culture, a pillar of the state and of society. Everyone can contribute even a tiny bit, according to their means, but a tiny bit made the Universe, let alone improve the lives of those in need. The media is a bridge between ordinary people and the decision-making administration. Therefore, through our media, we want to raise awareness among the state, associations, individuals, and families to find a way out of health and social problems. By informing, by making known stories, difficulties, problems, by showing closed doors, but also by proposing solutions, we all become better. Today, on April 2, we want to remember society’s solidarity with autistic families and children. We want to make this appeal because, through our work and our contacts, we see and realize how alone and unsupported these families and their children and adults still are today. Because the biggest problem is when autistic children grow into adults and they need to work, to integrate, and only the State, only the State, can and must do this. How? Here is our proposal for health: to require anyone receiving public funds to employ adults from vulnerable groups in society: Down syndrome, autism, and other problems. And the number employed should be proportionate to the funds the business receives from the State: the higher the funds, the more employees from vulnerable social groups. This could be one action. A concrete help for autistic children and adults.
