On 22 and 23 January 1990, under the direction of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the PPSH, comrade Ramiz Alia, the 9th Plenum of the Central Committee of the PPSH was held. It examined various issues of the country's political and economic life. The Plenum analyzed and adopted important decisions on the issues raised and expressed unanimity of thought and action for the fulfillment of the tasks arising from the 9th Congress of the Party, in conditions where a deep revolutionary transformation of all aspects of life is taking place in our country. The 9th Plenum of the Central Committee of the PPSH decided to democratize the socialist and human life of the masses, the country, through the deepening of socialist democracy and the expansion of their independent creative and supervisory activity, for the further совершенing of socialism and the strengthening of the dictatorship of the proletariat and of the people's power. The 9th Plenum of the Central Committee of the PPSH decided that Ramiz Alia would head the delegation of the Party of Labour of Albania, which will take part in the funeral of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, comrade A. P. Brezhnev[?].

IT IS WORTH STOPPING AT THIS EXPERIENCE Many cooperatives, workers and specialists have started to keep production accounts more regularly, but in some cases the data are collected only at the end and without detailed analysis. In the enterprise “Çlirimi” this work is done already at the brigade level. Income, expenses, material standards and work results are followed every day. This helps brigade leaders and specialists take timely measures to avoid losses and increase productivity. This experience shows that close economic control, linked to the brigade's concrete responsibility, brings significant improvements in work organization and in final results.

HIGH AND DAILY RHYTHM Facing bigger tasks - DURRËS - The responsible maintenance of a stable output and the growing responsibility of the miners' work are keeping the same pace and certainty. In recent days they have met difficult tasks in extracting fuel and sending it to consumers. On Tuesday they extracted 8,873 tons of coal. In these days the monthly norm is being exceeded by 8 percent. I. BIRXHA

- LIBRAZHD - In canal no. 1 near the station, in the fields of the agricultural cooperative of Velçan, the soil preparers are working at a high pace. They have just completed the land arrangement on 300 square meters of the hilly section, where terraces will be opened for planting trees. - DIBËR - In the first unit, before 7 January, good quantities of meat and fat were secured for the market. In these days efforts are being made to continue at the same pace. Measures have been taken to improve livestock feeding and to organize slaughtering according to the schedule. (Continued on page 2)

- DIBËR - To preserve the milk yield and ensure the plan is completed on time, work for the month of February has been planned in the farms and barns of the cooperative. Preparations are being made for the feed base and for monitoring the daily production norms. (Continued on page 2)
