- Comrade Ramiz Alia and other state leaders attended - To once again bear witness to all that atmosphere of joy and festivity that characterized the May 1990 concerts, last night at the Palace of Congresses, before a large audience, a special artistic concert was held. It was followed with interest by comrades Ramiz Alia, Nexhmije Hoxha, Hekuran Isai, Lenka Çuko, Simon Stefani, Foto Çami, Pali Miska, Rita Marko, Muho Asllani, as well as other leaders of the Party and the state. The ensembles from various cities, performing pieces from their repertoire, sparked warm and prolonged applause. Especially warmly received were the folk songs and dances, which brought to the stage the colours and temperament of the country’s different regions. The festive atmosphere was also reflected in the choreographic numbers and in the orchestra performances. Fines were imposed for throwing waste in unauthorized places, for disturbing public order, as well as for damaging green areas. Local authorities emphasize that improving the environment where we work and live is everyone’s duty and reflects civic culture.

Delays in supply, underuse of the equipment, and shortcomings in work organization have affected production performance. The collective has committed itself to overcoming the difficulties and fulfilling the plan tasks.
