NINA FACING THE PRESENT AND FUTURE OF THE HOMELAND

Zemrali[?], the historic activity of our Party and the 100th anniversary of the first KQ[?] ... marks an important stage in the life of our people and our nation. On the other hand, this is a time of major critical and self-critical debates, of efforts to understand the roots of the difficulties and to find new paths forward. Within this framework, on this Sunday, in the hall of the KQ[?], the discussion is taking place on the political documents and guidelines. In the opening speech of the meeting, it is stressed that the analysis of the past and the present must be carried out responsibly, in a party spirit and with faith in the strength of the people. Our Party has always known how to draw lessons from its experience, correct shortcomings and strengthen its ties with the masses. Today, when the country faces economic difficulties, new social demands and the need for modernization, the responsibility of communists becomes even greater. Bureaucratism, formalism and any manifestation that hinders development must be fought. Sincere criticism, based on facts, serves to strengthen socialism, not to weaken it. The presented materials point out that socialist democracy must be further expanded, and that the organs of popular power and social organizations must listen more to the voice of the people. Every creative initiative, every idea useful for production, education, science and culture deserves attention. This is the way to make citizens more active in the life of the country and to give development a boost. From the discussions it emerges that the future of the homeland requires work, discipline and unity. It also requires ideological clarity, moral determination and the ability to face the challenges of the times without losing identity and independence. The values gained through sacrifice must be defended, but at the same time the rigidities that hinder progress must be overcome. Only thus, under the leadership of the Party and with the participation of the people, can new prospects open for Albania. Measures that please people

Ylli Dajti This article speaks about commercial and public service, about citizens' demands, about shortcomings in behavior, supplies and organization. The author notes that in many cases people encounter queues, shortages, insufficient information and an inappropriate attitude from some service workers. According to the article, these phenomena not only spoil citizens' satisfaction, but also damage trust in the institutions. It is demanded that every worker feel responsible, have a culture of communication and see the ordinary person not as an obstacle, but as the very reason for his or her work. Only with discipline, organization and a sense of service can the situation change. (Continued on page 2)
