I say this loudly and with the conviction that we have reached a precipice, where the life of national politics, in parallel with the failure of the economic and institutional reform of democracy in recent times, is becoming increasingly problematic. The people are poor, society is insecure, freedom is threatened, national dignity is struck. Today our country has been engulfed by a wave of primitive reaction and political absurdity. In place of politics, thought and civic understanding, hatred, violence and submission dominate our public life. For this reason the Socialist Party calls citizens to democratic action and peaceful protest.

FASCIST VIOLENCE AGAINST THE SOCIALIST PARTY Yesterday morning, around 10 o’clock, near the headquarters of our party in Vlorë, a number of unknown individuals, under the direction of the head of SHIK, Mr. Agron Musaraj, attacked and severely damaged the Socialist Party office of the district, injuring the People’s Assembly deputy, Mr. Alfred Pojka.
