Everyone says NO to Berisha’s draft constitution
Berat:
Everyone says NO to Berisha’s draft constitution
- Servet Pëllumbi: No participation in the vote, and Koçi will stand for separating the vote with the people and not by parliament and not for a democratic constitution.
Thousands of citizens from the Berat district, at a large meeting held in the museum city, expressed yesterday their conviction that on 6 November they will vote against President Berisha’s draft constitution. Before hundreds of socialists and democrats, former political prisoners and intellectuals, the chairman of the Socialist Party, Servet Pëllumbi, described the constitution as an anti-democratic act.
He said Albanians must vote against it because this constitution does not guarantee the separation of powers and does not protect national interests. He then accused the president of concentrating power and attempting to control independent institutions.
In his speech it was emphasized that the “No” vote is a vote for democracy and for a rule-of-law state, while the draft constitution presented by Berisha represents a step backward.

The young people of Poliçan’s “No” calls show that tomorrow no longer belongs to Berisha
Poliçan:
The young people of Poliçan’s “No” calls show that tomorrow no longer belongs to Berisha
- If we had been outside, we would have been ten times more.
In the city center, before hundreds of young people, an enthusiastic meeting was held where opposition to the draft constitution was expressed. Speakers pointed out that young people are increasingly understanding the anti-democratic nature of the project and called for the vote on 6 November to be “No.”
According to participants, pressure and administrative obstacles will not be able to stop the expression of the citizens’ will. The young people declared that the future belongs to democracy and not to authoritarianism.

In Pezë we could not meet a single pezak
Report from Berisha’s rally yesterday
In Pezë we could not meet
not a single pezak
Even the flowers, the slogans and the calls were all imported.
They are the same faces that follow the president to all rallies. They come and swarm every square where he has an event. The television spectacles are losing their shine.
Berisha defeated under the label of fear
People: Do not be deceived by election tricks. Your free vote will defeat the lie of whoever dreams of snatching even the people’s known rights. So far, the press of his reasons mentions Berisha with arguments but at meetings victories are made. IZOTI TA BIND POPULLIN ME ARGUMENTA But at meetings victories are made.
The clearer it becomes what the deceptions and slogans used in this campaign are, the more clearly it will be understood that fear is accompanying power. Citizens are being asked not to fall prey to pressure and not to accept manipulation.
