Complete confidence in victory

Intensive activities by the Socialists in all districts of the country The Socialists begin their pre-election campaign in the capital today. Everything was announced yesterday at the official meeting with the expanded activist group of Tirana socialists gathered at the central headquarters of the PS. “Tomorrow begins the practical implementation of the most important pre-election political action. In the large hall of the Academy of Arts, socialist deputies and councillors will talk with the electorate of zone no. 3,” said yesterday Musa Ulqini, the chair of the highest local forum of Socialists. “Then 23 meetings of this kind, in all possible halls of the capital, over one month, 24 area councils will organize open meetings between the electorate and socialist deputies and councillors,” Ulqini continued. The chair of the PS in the capital justified all these actions with one objective: the victory of the PS in the capital. “This is the main point of our work; it is not a political and propaganda slogan for a possible reality,” said Ulqini. “We are convinced that we will win more than 50% of the votes in the capital,” continued the chair of the Tirana PS, supporting his confidence with arguments and figures: -On 22 March we got only 22% -On 26 July we reached 30.1% -In September 1993, 31,000 capital residents signed the petition for the release of Fatos Nano. -In the November referendum, the Socialists faced almost only the PD, and the “NO” was 49.6%, while 10,000 citizens were not registered. -The survey conducted these days gives the PS 53.4%.
