"In this way Berisha seeks to preserve his monopoly over RTV. This move shows that the President has begun to think seriously about his Party's defeat in the coming elections."

The government is increasing the number of homeless people
-Even in Durrës, the PD failed in the so-called contract signed with the people
800 land disputes in Tirana
-But the prime minister does not take responsibility. The government has other, much bigger problems to solve, and Meksi is thinking about how, as you can also see in the photo. Don't be mistaken, he is not sleeping

A former politically persecuted man denounces from Shkodra
My name is Abdyl Murati. I live in the Tepe neighborhood of the city of Shkodra.
Although for four months straight no one has given me an answer about the violence that was used against my family at the Internal Affairs branch of this district, I decided to denounce it publicly by turning to "Zeri i Popullit".

Tirana:
Yesterday afternoon, in one of the halls of the Historical Museum in Tirana, the second conference of the Socialist Women’s Forum for the city of Tirana was held. 120 delegates took part, representing 24 areas of the Socialist Women’s Forum for Tirana. Also taking part were the deputy chairman of the Socialist Party Servet Pëllumbi, the chairman of the Socialist Party for the city of Tirana Musa Ulqini, and the chairwoman of the Socialist Women’s Forum of Albania Merita Ndreko.
After the opening speech delivered by Ana Misha, on behalf of the steering council of the F.G. of the city of Tirana, the conference report was read by the chairwoman of the Socialist F.G. of the city of Tirana Margarita Hysi. The report highlighted the achievements of this forum since the first conference in terms of organizing and enlivening the forum's activity.
Figures and facts reflected the situation of women in the city of Tirana and on this basis concrete tasks were also defined.
In his speech, comrade Servet Pëllumbi praised the work of this forum and all the progress in awareness-raising within the party and its forum. He also carried out an analysis of the political situation in the country.
In the many discussions, the proof of the socialist women of Tirana was presented and opinions were given for improving the work in the future. Among others, Arta Stefanie, doctor of sciences in assistantship, Vahide Dervishi, a teacher who during the referendum was imprisoned by the Berisha regime, Lili Çela, lawyer, Fatbardha Corova, Liljana Gjini, etc., spoke. In all the discussions, complete confidence was expressed in the victory of the socialists in the upcoming elections.
Merita Ndreko greeted and concluded the conference.
On behalf of the conference participants, Vjollca Sevi read a greeting addressed to the chairman of the Socialist Party Fatos Nano. After the elections, Margarita Hysi was re-elected chairwoman of the Socialist Women’s Forum for the city of Tirana.

Përmet:
The concerns and problems faced by women today were at the center of the work of the second conference of women of the Përmet district. In the report, the chairwoman of the Forum Eleni Jance dwelt on the current situation of the women of Përmet, who have been affected by the reforms and have become housewives. The Socialist Women’s Forum in Përmet, during these three years of its existence, has spread to all areas of the city and district of Përmet, Këlcyrë and the communes of the district.
The many discussions conveyed the legitimate concern about the insecurity of the lives of men and boys in emigration, the kidnapping of girls for prostitution, the scandalous lack of water and health care. The discussion by the representative from Kosina was moving; she presented the grim picture of rural women who are falling into depressive states because of isolation. Rural women, she emphasized, pull up the anchor because they have no money to pay for medical treatment. This even causes spontaneous abortions. Girls are not sent to secondary school because we are afraid of traffickers of women. Children leave school because the burden of agricultural work and livestock tending falls on their young shoulders.
At the end, the conference elected the leading bodies.

The rule of law. The democratic legal system
From the program of the Socialist Party
The rule of law.
The democratic legal system
The PSSh stands for strengthening and consolidating the rule of law. By taking an active part in shaping the political will of the strata it represents, socialists seek respect for and implementation of democratic concepts in relations between party, society and state.
-The state should serve its citizens.
-The political reality of the separation of the three powers, and of their mutual control and balance in the interest of progress, the strengthening of democracy and the rights of human beings and citizens, should be respected and made real.
-State activity should be carried out only through the authorized state bodies, culminating in accordance with the Constitution and the legislation in force.
-There should be transparency in the activities of the state and its administrations regarding decisions taken; information and publicity should be ensured, citizens should be drawn into participation in state activity, and decisions should be taken at the level where they are most effective and as close as possible to the citizens.
-Justice bodies should have true independence, and their activity should be guided only by the laws, free of the influence and interference of executive bodies, party views or the interests of economic groups.
-A democratic legal system should be built and continuously improved that guarantees all citizens equality in rights and duties, in fundamental freedoms and in the inviolability of the person.
-Obedience to the law should become a democratic rule of life. Citizens should not be denied the right to contest a particular law, but contesting and changing the law should be done democratically, through the legitimate public procedures provided for in advance and by majority vote.
