Editorial For a long time, the propaganda of the party in power has tried to create a cult around the President of the Republic and the de facto Chairman of the Democratic Party, Mr. Berisha. But yesterday’s article in the newspaper “Rilindja Demokratike,” entitled “The attack against Berisha is an attack against democracy,” represents another, more advanced stage in the creation of this cult. The article states, among other things, that everyone has supposedly turned against Berisha, that an entire propaganda arsenal has been set in motion against the President of the Republic, and that whole phrases he supposedly never said are being attributed to him, etc. No attack has been launched against President Berisha. In accordance with all the rules of democracy, he has been given a response to the unjust accusations he has made against the Socialist Party and its leadership (continued on page 4)
