Solana leaves Albania With a visit of nearly 24 hours, NATO Secretary General Havier Solana concluded his stay in Albania. After meeting with the president and senior Albanian officials, he and the other accredited ambassadors left yesterday for Skopje, to attend the next round of talks. During these two days with the other Albanian ambassadors as well as with the senior Albanian officials, Solana and at noon British in Sofia, where it began from the Albanian President Berisha.

From America, messages of democracy and without prejudice of free and fair elections and the necessity of confronting the past and further cooperation in a democratic USA and a united Europe. As is known and has been partially made public in the media, a delegation of the PSSh, headed by Mr. Rexhep Meidani and composed of H.E. Servet Pëllumbi, Mr. Ylli Bufi, Dr. Prec Zogaj, Dr. Hajrullah Tërnava, Mr. Pëllumb Xhufi, held meetings in the United States at various levels and received important contacts and audiences. These meetings reflected the desire and anxiety of the Albanian opposition for a non-conflictual and as swift as possible solution to the Albanian crisis. The purpose of the visit was to present the situation in Albania to personalities and to the opposition in the life of the PSSH and the opposition in the life of democracy and in the establishment of rules in the United States to the country's officials and well-known enterprises of the United States in order to institutionalize the normalization of relations in society. The meetings in the United States included important centers of the PSSH and important parts of American political life and of enterprises and associations of Albanian PSSH. (Continued on page 4)
