One police officer killed and another wounded Machine-gun fire and grenades were unleashed yesterday at around 9:30 on the Shkodër police station. The first consequence of this terror was the wounding of one of the police minibus drivers. Then a rapid-intervention police officer was killed. Sources from the Shkodër poli[a?] say that the people who carried out this act first arrived in a car, attempting to enter the station courtyard. After the guard stopped them, they withdrew to the sidewalk. Two people got out of the car and, with a machine gun and grenades, entered the station courtyard and began the attack, but no one at the station returned fire, even though its premises were full of police officers. As has been reported, a military delegation led by Minister of Defense Shaqir Vukaj arrived in Athens on Tuesday. In the evening, the delegation was received at a special meeting by Greek Defense Minister Co-haxopullos. The two defense ministers then held a one-on-one meeting. On Wednesday, talks continued at the Greek Ministry of Defense between the two military delegations, led by Minister Vukaj and Co-

haxopullos. These talks focused on issues of stability and regional cooperation, the multinational force and Greece's contribution to this force, as well as matters of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense.
