Today in the PD: a debate with a pistol at the belt

Distancing oneself from the instigators of the Albanian tragedy is a necessity, a civic responsibility

Today in the PD: a debate with a pistol at the belt

Today, when things were finally going well, the government of the democrats was taking the country from the abyss into the precipice. They had managed to throw the anarchic situation into the fire, plunder the country with the most violent and brutal means, play with the lives of Albanians, driving them into unconditional destitution. Nothing would be enough to justify the ruin of the economy, the destruction of the army, the disappearance of state order, yet all this was made even worse by the irresponsible and criminal conduct of the leaders of the PD in power. Despite having wrapped themselves in the cloak of propaganda, they cannot deny their responsibility for the bankruptcy of the state. The attempts to escape responsibility are taking on ridiculous forms. What until yesterday was presented as “historic successes” is today being dismissed as other people's mistakes. But how much can Albanians forget? How much can they close their eyes to the guilt of those who governed with arbitrariness, violence and deceit? Citizens need a clear break with the instigators of this tragedy. There can be no reconciliation with those who set the country on fire. Distancing oneself from them is not only a political act, but also a moral and civic duty. Only in this way can hope for a civilized and democratic Albania begin again.
