The Socialists will know how to manage victory

Socialist leader Fatos Nano assures Albanians: I am obliged, with the political modesty that popular voting and our responsibility impose on us, to share with you, even before the official announcement, and I am not at all carried away by a sense of triumph, to show our will and readiness to repeat to my fellow citizens, my wife and especially all my fellow villagers, without any break in our commitment to transforming the public life of the country, that this people, so harshly and so kindly, with its vote for changing the situation and the economy in an Albania with a better and calmer future, has sanctioned a second agreement in the name of our responsibility and the rule of law. Peace and cooperation! "Zëri i Popullit", with these words, after warmly thanking the entire left-wing electorate, the leader of the winning party in the election, Ali Spahia, greeted with tears of joy the election of the PS deputy in zone 52, Idajet Beqiri. He pledges that all members of the PS Parliamentary Group will manage the victory with prudence. "Being responsible before our country, we do not want triumph, but victory. Because it is a victory for Albania, not for the PS. Moreover, we have a responsibility in the new parliament to address properly the country’s economic situation. We will not place our hopes in the coalition government, but in social governance. A PS victory is not a victory for the traditional alliance, nor a victory for the people who have governed up to now with corruption and incompetence. In a PS victory there is no revenge drive, but understanding and mutual trust in a calm Albania and in the fast pace of its democratic march toward Europe," he said. Page 2
