Interior Minister Neritan Ceka denounces: Berisha’s party, a party of Kalashnikovs Agreement between Prime Minister Fatos Nano’s government and the Association of Formerly Politically Persecuted People AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA AND THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FORMER POLITICALLY PERSECUTED PEOPLE Kola, Cumeni, Kokoshi, Kavala exchange accusations with Nano, Islami, Maidhi, Shehri[n?] Fatos Nano "We assumed executive responsibility as a new government in order to work together with one another in associations of politically persecuted people, former persecuted people and victims of the regime; we decided to institutionalize integration within the government. In a joint conversation with the association of former politically persecuted people, through the statement of the presidency, which is very important and deserves to be studied by you and by society at large. Thanks to this agreement of the National Front, we will intensify the preliminary consultations such as those held with Mr. Kola’s association and with other associations." Kurt Kola "This institute has the purpose of integrating the former politically persecuted, raising them to the level of Albanian society, and sees as possible the opening of their sphere of action in parliament and in government. By seeking cooperation, tolerance and mutual understanding among people of different political orientations and beliefs, and by seeking cooperation, in my opinion the Democratic Party has always been absent from the politics of Albania’s unity, or has pursued a policy of division. It makes absolutely no impression on me that the PD is still absent today. Those who have had reasons to accuse will continue to accuse. Yes, there have been reasons to accuse — facing Berisha, you have given us the path forward for a national man, the path of national reconciliation." It is clear in the positions of opinion and in the stance of the Albanian public opinion, they take on the role and the burden of the nationwide demand, they have become a tunnel ahead of national unification. Precisely in the place where the state meetings have come before with assemblies and before the presidency, before all waves of governance. These are things that have been made clear by the role of the government. Indeed, this right path has been in encouragement, in illumination, in work, and in creating another perspective for work and for the future. It is in positions of inclusion and not only by escalating in a cold manner and deepening the crisis. Therefore it is being demanded that the government carry out not only a proper plane of the institutional direction of the Albanian state, but also a new spirit of calming the situation with correctness. Otherwise it would remain on a wrong and divisive path. Starting from this position, Mr. Kola also spoke about the need for integration, the establishment of institutions and cooperation, linking this with calming the country. He said that through preliminary consultations and cooperation, a common path can be built.
