Prime Minister Nano meets with the Euro-socialists The Prime Minister and chairman of the PSSH Fatos Nano with senior representatives of the Socialist International in Tirana and other representatives of the advisory group of “Mother Teresa”, Mr. Pierre Mauroy. “After KPD we raise PRESSH-I, of our own, neither the government nor us Albanians lose hope and continue to work and rebuild in Preshe[?]... At the same time we are making possible agreements with the Albanian political forces and with international factors, above all with the representatives of the opposition and with other bodies. The new Albania is rising”. Prime Minister Fatos Nano also said that “PSSH and the Socialist Party of Albania, thanks to these elections [of] 29 June held in Preshe[?]-H, is becoming a responsible force, a realistic government, a factor of stability”. He added that “the social-democratic forces in the elections of 29 June have also taken a major step toward the political emancipation of the country”. In the talks with representatives of the Socialist International, Prime Minister Nano emphasized that the government is continuing the fight against the pyramid schemes and is preparing reforms for the rebuilding of the economy. Yesterday morning, in the Prime Minister’s office, the KPD presidency and the PRISSH-I of the Albanian Group of the [European?] Office were especially received... Then the KPD instructed the chairman of the Albanian KPD Group to invite Mr. Robin Cook to come to Tirana on 4 October 1997. Likewise, the KPD invited Mr. Solano to talk with the new government about the priorities that would help the Albanian people in rebuilding the country. In response, the leaders of the PRISSH-I Youth Forum warmly thanked Mr. Alfred Moisiu for all his contribution. At this meeting, the new post-election cross-referential movement of PRISSH was also discussed
