On October 21, the tender for foreign companies that will ensure transparency The government’s representative on the supervisory group for transparency at borrowing companies, Farudin Arapi, yesterday confirmed October 21 as the date of the tender to select foreign companies tasked with ensuring transparency. Arapi said yesterday that over the past three days he had held continuous meetings with representatives of trading companies and an Italian company based in Bologna, specializing in the auditing of trading companies. Meanwhile, until October 21, the Albanian interim administrators will continue working at the borrowing companies. Supervisor Arapi said yesterday that so far the local administrators had managed the companies’ assets. The aim, Arapi said, had been to reduce company expenses, especially ineffective expenses such as salaries, and to cut auxiliary staff, including guards. An agreement on this has been reached between the administrators and the companies, Arapi said. The chief supervisor stated yesterday that ongoing audits were being examined, with particular attention to contracts that restart production. He added that so far there had been no reservations about the work carried out by the company owners. In fact, he said, they were asking for transparency at the companies to be completed as soon as possible, and for the audit work and financial results to be published immediately for each company separately.
