USA: EVERYTHING TO HELP ALBANIA

Assistant U.S. Secretary of State, Ms. Eilen Maloy, meets with the highest Albanian officials MALLOY: I have noticed an extraordinarily improved situation. Washington supports Albanian foreign policy Warm relations with high-level American officials are also appreciated by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Niko Mela, with whom Assistant U.S. Secretary of State responsible for Albanian affairs Molly Montgomery held talks last night. The senior American envoys have positively գնահատed the situation created here and say that the USA are ready to help Albania. “I am pleased that the situation here is much improved and I have welcomed it,” the senior American official told the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mela said that “it is a special pleasure to receive the President’s senior envoys. We are in a very good relationship with the USA.” Pleased by the meeting with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Albanian affairs, Niko Mela declared that with the Presidency and Parliament, the USA and Albania have had “excellent cooperation for a very long time.” The head of talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Niko Mela, welcomed Foreign Minister Paskal Milo’s relations with the Washington administration. Melo stressed that “thanks to the care shown by the Albanian government for resolving the crisis caused by the crisis in Kosovo,” the international community has shown “determination” in preserving regional stability.
