A vote for the Alliance for the State is a civic act Many people ask why they should vote for the “Alliance for the State”; their lives provide the answer. Their age is not that important, nor is their current social situation; neither are their deprivations and sufferings, past or present. This is because a vote contains not only a momentary emotion, but the impressions of a lifetime. Today you see these people in the streets, at work, in family conversations, in the many cafés, everywhere passionately defending the alternative offered by the Alliance for the State. For this category of people, today’s vote is, so to speak, already decided; casting the ballot in the box is a formality. They have decided that it should be a civic day, without passions, especially after last year’s events, when they saw with the utmost clarity that the Democratic Party had only the name of a democratic party, because it had degenerated into a “gang.” The vote of free people removed this party from power on June 29. Can the calamity bearing its signature be forgotten so quickly? Absolutely not. In this election, however partial, the Socialists and the supporters of this party are not alone. The political spectrum bringing together the parties included in the “Alliance for the State” stretches from left to right. Such a union could be achieved only by political forces interested not in winning one more seat, but in giving this city, this people and this country an alternative of hope and recovery. And today the DP has the nerve to ask for votes for the mayor again! A year ago, when the first documents were published proving that Berisha and his party had taken the money Albanians had deposited in the financial pyramid schemes, the chairman of the DP declared that he would return the 50,000 dollars he had received (the 50,000 dollars evidenced by the facsimile we are publishing constitute just one of the payments making up the 30 million dollars received from “Gjallica”). But he still has not returned the money, not even to justify the stale propaganda he puts out. In any case, the confusion surrounding this act and the investigation into the thieves who took money deposited in the pyramid firms can wait no longer. Let them do their duty, because Berisha is not going to return the money.
