The fight against corruption and smuggling, a priority of the coalition government THE SMUGGLING DOSSIER FROM NANO TO THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE FATOS NANO The Albanian leader said yesterday together with the cooperation and governing coalition that the toleration of corrupt activity in our country has been addressed. By governing responsibly in relation to the major problems facing the country, the government has set up the anti-corruption commission. This commission has been headed by the Albanian prime minister himself. Yesterday the commission in question reached the conclusion of its report, which reflected some facts and political implications of the persons involved in unlawful actions. After examining the report and the materials received from the prefecture, such a conclusion was reached: the involvement of senior officials in this activity. After informing the public, the prime minister referred the case to the General Prosecutor’s Office. The government and the prime minister remain determined in the fight against corruption, as a necessity for transparency and stability in the country.
