TIRANA - Control and surveillance are being intensified over the movement of increasingly frequent Albanian crossings and other routes through the country, following the Italian heroin case that has identified Pëllumb Shehaj, also known as Sylvin, as the key person in the suspected activity, and after an international mission was launched to arrest him.
He has been asked to surrender immediately and has been placed under international search at the request of the Italian authorities. In a move today, after a careful examination of the firms and a table published by the Guardia di Finanza of that country, the name and photograph of the Albanian suspect have been included.
Sources from police agents in the neighboring country say that the former president of the decision-making company “Silva”, Pëllumb Shehaj, has become the subject of investigations by the Guardia di Finanza. Apparently for two months now, in other words, since he was denounced in the port of Bari with a load of 6.1 kg of pure heroin.
The time of the president afterwards changed and he moved to Albania in a closure. Shehaj left immediately in the direction of Greece, where he hid for three days in May. He later faced an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol, after Italian analyses proved that the packets were filled with a full 6 kg of pure substance.
Now the former president of “Silva”, Pëllumb Shehaj, is in the hands of the Italian officers, while after Interpol not everything about his writing has remained unnoticed in the present in the boss's investigation.
